Most of us are doing more than we're designed to sustain. We're running full speed on partial fuel — excelling in one area while quietly neglecting another, and wondering why life feels off-balance even when everything looks fine on the outside.

The Seven Sustaining Pillars are the framework I use with every client to get an honest picture of where you are — not where you think you should be, not where you used to be. Where you actually are, right now, today.

Rate yourself honestly on each pillar. No judgment here. This is your space. The score isn't the point — the awareness is. And awareness is always the first step back to yourself.

Mind
Feeding your brain is not optional. It's oxygen.
01

Your mind is the engine of everything you build, believe, and become. When you stop feeding it with curiosity and intentional learning, it starts feeding on worry, comparison, and noise. A sharp, growing mind is a protected mind. This isn't about being the smartest person in the room — it's about staying awake to your own potential.

Are you reading, learning, or exploring something that stretches you — even 10 minutes a day?
Do you consume content that builds you up or mostly content that numbs you out?
When did you last think a thought that genuinely surprised you?
Are you growing in your understanding of your faith, your craft, your world?
How well are you nourishing your mind right now? 5

Body
You can't pour from a body you've been ignoring.
02

Your body is not a machine. It's your home. And like any home, it reflects what you've been putting into it — and what you've been letting slide. Sleep deprivation is not a badge of honor. Stress carried in the body becomes sickness in the body. What you eat, how you move, how you rest — these are acts of self-respect, not self-indulgence.

Are you sleeping enough to actually restore — not just survive the next day?
Is what you're eating giving you energy or taking it?
Are you moving your body in a way that honors it — not punishes it?
How are you carrying stress? Where does it live in your body right now?
How well are you caring for your physical body? 5

Soul
Look inward. That's where the real work lives.
03

The soul is where your deepest values, your wounds, your growth edges, and your greatest joys all live together. Tending to your soul means being willing to sit with yourself — not just the polished version, but the whole version. The divots. The disciplines. The grace you still owe yourself. Growth that doesn't include the soul is just productivity wearing a costume.

Are you giving yourself the grace you freely extend to others?
When you look inward, are you meeting yourself with curiosity or criticism?
Are you celebrating your growth — even the small, quiet wins?
Is there a wound you've been working around instead of working through?
Do you have a practice — journaling, reflection, stillness — that reconnects you to yourself?
How connected are you to your inner life right now? 5

✝️
Spirit
You were made for something bigger than your schedule.
04

Your spirit is your anchor. When everything else shifts — the job, the relationship, the bank account, the health report — your faith is the thing that says "you are still held." A faith that is only active in crisis isn't functioning as an anchor — it's functioning as a life raft. Your spiritual life deserves tending in the ordinary days, not just the desperate ones.

Is your faith journey active — or has it become a background hum?
Do you have clarity on your God-given purpose — and are you moving toward it?
When life gets hard, does your faith stabilize you or do you feel it drift?
Are you connected to a community that challenges and nourishes your spirit?
Is there something bigger than you that you are actively contributing to?

Professional & Financial
Your work should fund your life — not consume it.
05

This pillar isn't just about money — it's about whether the work you do reflects the woman you are. Are you valued where you are? Are you on track — professionally, financially, vocationally? Generational wealth isn't built by accident. Neither is a fulfilling career. Both require honest evaluation and the courage to make adjustments when the numbers — or the joy — don't add up.

Does your work align with your values — or are you trading meaning for a paycheck?
Do you know where you stand financially — actually know, not approximately?
Are you living beneath your means and building toward something?
Is debt shrinking, growing, or standing still in your life?
Are you open to and actively pursuing additional income streams?
Does your professional environment give you room to grow — or is it shrinking you?
How aligned are your work and finances with your goals? 5

Relationships
You were not made to do life alone — or to disappear into it for others.
06

The health of your relationships is a direct reflection of the health of your inner life. We give what we have — and we can't give what's been depleted. Healthy relationships are mutual. They give AND take in equal measure. A relationship that only extracts from you is not a relationship — it's a responsibility with someone's name on it. Your community should make you better, not smaller.

Do your closest relationships feel like a mutual exchange — or a one-way street?
Are you investing in friendships that genuinely pour back into you?
Is your family dynamic life-giving — or is it your greatest drain?
Are you connected to a community larger than your immediate circle?
Do you feel truly seen and known by at least one person in your life?
How fulfilling and mutual are your key relationships? 5

Recreation
Rest is not a reward for finished work. It's a requirement for sustainable life.
07

Recreation is not laziness. It's medicine. It's the two-week vacation and the thirty-minute book. It's the hour in the garden and the walk around the block with no destination in mind. To re-create means to make yourself new again — and that is not optional if you intend to keep showing up for the people and the purpose God has placed in front of you. You cannot pour from empty. You cannot soar on a broken wing.

When did you last do something purely for the joy of it — with zero productivity attached?
Do you take real, restorative time away — not catch-up time dressed up as vacation?
Is there a hobby, a practice, or a simple pleasure you've let quietly disappear?
Do you practice mindfulness — even briefly — to stay present in your own life?
What would it feel like to give yourself permission to rest without guilt?
How consistently are you recreating, restoring, and replenishing? 5
